PhD in Educational Sciences, especiality of Sociology of Education, by Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa), she is a teacher at Instituto de Educação da Universidade de Lisboa (IE-ULisboa) and a researcher at Unidade de Investigação e Desenvolvimento em Educação e Formação (UIDEF) of the same institute. Among the research issues she has been focusing in the last few years, there is higher education graduates transitons to labor market, public policies of education and training of young people and adults with low educational levels, and the construction and socialization processes in building school experiences. She is an author of several books and scientific articles published in national and international journals.
